Theodore ‘Ted’ Latoski, Sr., age 80, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan passed away and went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home.  Ted was born on December 7, 1935 in Midland, Michigan, the son of Stanley Leo Latoski and Lucille (Geruski) Latoski-Davis.  On December 31, 1956, he married Judith B. Davis. 

       Ted and Judy were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Ted worked for Lobdell-Emery Manufacturing Company in Alma for forty-three years.  He enjoyed bowling with his co-workers.  He was a member of Moose Lodge #1566 in St. Louis, Michigan since 1983.  Ted loved going on family vacations everywhere in the UP including Mackinaw and Drummond Island.  One of his favorites was hunting in Wyoming and hitting the slots in Las Vegas.  He loved hunting, fishing and took a great deal of pride in his yard. 

       Ted is survived by his wife Judy of fifty-nine years and his four children:  Ted (Pattie Warner) Latoski, Jr. of Prudenville, Michigan, Tamey (Marty) Travis of Mt. Pleasant, Tom Latoski of Shepherd and Toni (Rob) Smith of Mt. Pleasant.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Ted was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

      A celebration of Ted’s life will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 1 pm at the Rowley Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Fr. Don Henkes officiating. Interment will follow the service in Chippewa Township Cemetery.  Friends and family will gather on Friday from 11 am until time of the service at 1 pm.  Friends have been asked to consider memorial contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
